This article contains spoilers for Selling Sunset season 6.
Netflix dropped season 6 of beloved reality series Selling Sunset earlier this year, bringing with it a fresh batch of drama, insane houses we wish we owned and incredible outfits.
But ever since it aired we've been frantically searching for the latest news surrounding season 7, and with it set to be released this Friday 3 November, the drama is really ramping up.
In a new teaser for the latest season we see Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim's ex Marie-Lou Nurk having a very tense discussion over lunch in which Chrishell plainly states: "I'm not gonna be your friend, I don't have anything in common with you." Eek. See below for yourself.
It was also recently revealed that one beloved cast member won't be around as much this season, with them not even making it to the show's promo poster.
So if you're wondering what you can expect from your next hit of The O Group, here's everything we know so far about Selling Sunset season 7, from who will be returning for the next season to a likely release date and what's happened since filming wrapped.
Who will be in the cast of Selling Sunset season 7?
Netflix confirmed the full cast for season 7 by way of its promotional poster. So, we can expect some of our old favourites as well as newcomers from the past season, namely:
- The O Group bosses Jason Oppenheim and Brett Oppenheim
- Chrishell Stause
- Mary Fitzgerald
- Amanza Smith
- Emma Hernan
- Chelsea Lazkani
- Nicole Young
- Bre Tiesi
With new cast members Nicole Young and Bre Tiesi having key plot lines to wrap up in season 7, we can definitely expect more from them in the upcoming Selling Sunset season.
However, one cast member who is notably absent from the poster is Heather Rae El Moussa (nee Young). This is perhaps because El Moussa was on maternity leave after giving birth to her baby boy Tristan on January 31.
El Moussa herself has confirmed that she will make several appearances in the new season, she just won't be one of the main cast.
“Looks like I got pushed in the water… its a good thing I can swim!” she wrote on Instagram, referring to the rest of the cast standing in front of a pool. “Congrats to my girls on S7! 💗 You may see me in a few episodes…..”
On January 14 this year, El Moussa shared a behind-the-scenes video of her filming for season 7, stating that it was her last day before her son's birth, so we can expect to see some shots of her at the start of the season.
In an interview at the end of March 2023 with E! News, El Moussa shared: "Season 7 is filming right now, but I've been off maternity leave and I've been excited to get back to work. And so far, I've not been called back."
When speaking on how she felt about having not heard anything more, she added "It's been a little frustrating, so, not sure what's been going on."
It's unclear how much of an appearance El Moussa will make in this season or whether she will be called back for season 8.
Who won't be in the cast of Selling Sunset season 7?
Another noticeable absence is Davina Potraz, who was a key cast member in the first few series but whose role appeared to diminish in season 6. It's unclear whether she will appear in season 7 at all.
Selling Sunset alum Christine Quinn has made very clear she has no intention of returning to the series, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly explaining: “I would never come back in a million years”. It looks like a return from Vanessa Villela is also off the cards, given the real estate agent and actor left to join another rival LA brokerage.
Unfortunately for us, OG cast member Maya Vander is also unlikely to be making a return, writing on her Instagram stories in June 2022, “So…I ’m very proud of my Selling Sunset family for getting two more seasons and hopefully an Emmy nomination. I decided not to go on with the show and it was not an easy decision! Being part of such a successful hit is absolutely amazing and I am so grateful for!!”
She explained, “The last few months were not easy. Losing a baby at 38 weeks following a miscarriage is just too much to handle. I just want to be home with my husband and beautiful kids who I absolutely adore. Focusing on growing my Maya Vander Group and joining Compass is the right decision for me to move forward.” Vander has two children with her husband (Aiden, 3 and Elle, 2).
What will happen in Selling Sunset season 7?
It's fair to say that the season 6 finale left us with plenty of loose ends to tie up!
Bre and Chelsea seem to have reached a dead end after butting heads all season. Chrishell and Nicole appear to be heading towards a legal battle after their season long feud escalated into some serious allegations and a drug test, while Stause's relationship with Mary Fitzgerald seems beyond repair. With seemingly no allies in Mary or Jason anymore, it looks like Chrishell is strongly considering taking time away to join her partner G Flip on their Australian tour.
Beyond luxe homes and some top tier outfits, the teaser for Selling Sunset season 7 makes clear that there is unfinished business. Nicole states that she thinks Stause “gets away with murder”, later saying, “someone has a plan to take me down, in any dirty manner possible”, with this voiceover accompanied by visuals of Chrishell and Emma having a photoshoot with a leash.
A clip of Chrishell through tears saying: "I knew something was wrong," also features, with the teaser cutting to Jason and his girlfriend Marie-Lou.
The teaser concludes with Chrishell and Nicole having an argument where Nicole accuses Stause of saying "horrific things" about her, with Chrishell rebutting "Everything I say about you is true."

What's happened since season 6 was filmed?
As filming is behind by a few months, you've likely seen the most major news from the cast since.
Jason and Marie-Lou splitDespite Jason Oppenheim and Marie-Lou Nurk moving in together in a “pretty perfect” LA condo earlier this year, the pair have since announced their split after ten months together, citing distance as the reason for the breakup.
Taking to Instagram, Oppenheim shared a photo of the two on his story along with the message: “While we still love and care about each other very much the distance between us has proven to be too great a challenge to overcome. We remain close friends and continue to talk often and support each other and we want the very best for one another.”
Tension between Amanza and ChrishellIn a turn of events we didn't see coming, one major development since the premiere of season 6 is an apparent dispute between Chrishell and Amanza.
In an update on the Monday following the season premiere, Amanza spoke on her health, following up on a moment from season 6 in which she mentioned a cancer scare. In the post, she said “I am in fact, not only cancer free, but also possibly aging backwards and happier than I’ve been in forever!”, before going on to reflect on her own experience losing loved ones to cancer and mentioning Chrishell, who lost both of her parents to lung cancer.
"I know that it is very public that Chrishell and I have our own little feud right now however, I also know that she too, has suffered a great deal of pain by losing loved ones from this terrible awful disease. It affects everyone involved in a very heartbreaking way. Let’s celebrate life on this post and I urge you to please if you are going to comment make this one, the one that you bite your tongue and only make it positive."
After a fan called her out for creating "uncalled drama" she wrote back: “I've never given any reason as to why I blocked Chrishell to anyone because I don't think anyone has asked so far. Don't worry I'm happy to share in due time.”
Chrishell and G Flip got marriedChrishell Stause and G Flip are now married, after getting hitched in a secret Las Vegas ceremony which the couple confirmed would not appear in season 7. Stause also recently divulged that she wore a £432 wedding dress from her own closet for the ceremony!
Heather became a mumHeather Rae El Moussa became a mum to baby boy Tristan and now has her own HGTV show, The Flipping El Moussas!
