Saturday Night Live has spawned many big stars over the years, but Bowen Yang is one of the most unique. A breakout star on the sketch comedy series, Yang has been a mainstay on the show since 2019, after working as a writer behind the scenes for about a year. Yang has since appeared in many hit sketches, making waves for his ability to steal a scene, even from other seasoned performers.

Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova won an Oscar for their song "Falling Slowly," from the 2007 film Once. Written and directed by John Carney, Hansard's onetime bandmate, it's a movie about two musicians in Dublin, writing songs about past romances and exploring the love growing between them. It was art imitating life, and perhaps the other way around: Hansard, who plays a Dublin street busker, spent years on the city's streets in real life, earning his keep with his the same battered guitar he plays in the film.

Redeem now Leading up to Monday Night Football, ESPN ran a feature about Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's "dink and dunk" passing game. Problem was, ESPN's graphics department mislabeled the segment as "Ben Roethlisberger 'Drink And Drunk.'" (h/t Awful Announcing)  Maybe it was an accidental allusion to Roethlisberger's sketchy history or just simply an auto-correct typo.  Whatever the case, ESPN realized the awkward situation and already had Chris Berman apologize for the graphic error on air.

When you read these names of musicians, producers, visual artists and writers who died in 2023, your heart may be filled with sorrow and sadness. After all, music offers us opportunities to both dream outside of and root yourself in reality. When we lose artists who reflect and refract myriad versions of ourselves and the world we know and aspire to be, it can feel impossible to imagine a world without their musical guidance.

A devastated mother found out her husband was sexually assaulting their daughter when she caught him sniffing the 10-year-old's underwear.   The father-of-four, who cannot be named for legal reasons, faced Gosford District Court, NSW Central Coast, on Friday for assaulting his oldest child three times. According to court documents, the man loved his daughter but developed a 'sexual attraction' to her shortly after her 10th birthday, the Daily Telegraph reported.
