Not Another Salon Hairdresser Review

If you're bored of the same-old hairdresser experience, Not Another Salon, may just be where you need to head…
Launched seven months ago, the Brick Lane salon has already made serious waves. You only have to look at the company's Instagram to see the legions of fans gushing over the neon rainbow hair dyes, the beach babe-worthy balayage and the custom cuts.
Founded by Sophia Hilton, who decided to venture out on her own after working for 10 years in corporate salons, this salon's ethos is simple. It aims to bring something fresh, new and modern to the industry whilst carrying out incredible hair design.
With this in mind, I ventured off East, to see what they could do for me. Having had a dip-dye for the last six years, I was looking for something new. I wanted it to be summery but, notoriously unadventurous with my hair, I didn't want anything too dramatic or "out there". Could the company famed for rainbow hair deliver?
Sophia talked me through what would suit me from the tone of the dye to the shape of the cut. She told me about the evolution of the dip-dye, ombre and balayage and suggested I went for the latter. For those who don't know, a balayage is where dye is more subtly swept through the hair, highlights can be seen at varying lengths, some higher up the hair, some lower down but there is no clear root line.
Sophia did my balayage freehand and also performed an INNOluxe treatment on my hair. INNOluxe is a protein product that works to rebuild hair that may otherwise have been damaged by bleach. Not Another Salon were one of the first in London to start using the protective treatment and a week after my visit, my hair is still shiny, still hydrated.
Here was the finished look:
Pretty great, huh?
