Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte Match at the Princess of Wales's Christmas Concert

The same day Netflix released the rest of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's documentary series— which revealed a lot about Prince William — the Cambridge family attended Kate Middleton's second annual holiday concert, Royal Carols: Together at Christmas.

Attending the event as a family on Thursday, Princess Charlotte and the Princess of Wales matched in festive maroon coats. Middleton wore an elegant calf-length jacket with structured shoulders and matching red pumps, her hair in loose waves over one shoulder.

Charlotte, hand in hand with her father, wore a double-breasted knee-length coat in the same colour, black tights and Mary Jane flats, with her hair partially braided.

Prince William and Prince George also coordinated in black coats and navy trousers, though they opted for different coloured ties. Prince Louis remained at home.

It turns out Princess Charlotte and Kate Middleton also matched Pippa Middleton, who attended the carol service in her own double-breasted maroon coat, which she paired with a belt and brown boots. King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, and Kate Middleton's own parents were all in attendance as well.

Kate Middleton (who is definitely a hugger) kicked off the new royal tradition in 2021 to pay tribute to all the hard work that individuals and groups have done during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This also marked the first time the then Duchess of Cambridge played the piano for the public. Dressed in another red dress, she accompanied singer-songwriter Tom Walker for a performance of his holiday song, For Those Who Can’t Be Here. She “nailed it,” according to Walker.

The recorded concert will air on ITV on Christmas Eve. Earlier this month Middleton promoted the concert in a sparkling sheer red dress. “Join us this Christmas Eve for a very special service at Westminster Abbey, full of festive carols and beautiful performances, as we celebrate what makes this the most wonderful time of year,” she said in the promo, per People

Clearly, the Cambridges were in too festive a mood to focus on everything the Sussexes shared with the world. Of course, their aides were definitely watching….
