Brent Briscoe, Twin Peaks and Parks and Recreation Actor, Dies at 56

Brent Briscoe, known for appearances on “Parks and Recreation” and “Twin Peaks,” died on Wednesday after a short hospital stay due to a serious fall that resulted in internal bleeding and eventually heart complications. He was 56 years old.
The character actor was known for his roles like diner owner JJ in “Parks and Recreation,” Detective Dave Macklay in “Twin Peaks,” and in films like “Sling Blade,” “The Green Mile,” “Mulholland Drive,” and “A Simple Plan.” Briscoe was also an writer on “Evening Shade” and on the films “The Right To Remain Silent” and “Waking Up In Reno.”
“We lost a class act on Wednesday. Brent played hundreds of roles throughout his career but his greatest role was to his family and friends. He was as genuine as they come. We will miss him dearly,” his representative said in a statement.
Director David Lynch also released a statement, saying “I want you to know how much I loved working with Brent. I worked with him on “Mulholland Drive” and “Twin Peaks.” I loved him as an actor and a great person. I’m holding good thoughts for all of you. I will really miss working with Brent again.
